Now it looks as if Sony is set to join the fray with their marketing campaign, focusing on one date: the 20th of February. A slew of videos detailing PlayStations history and place in the gaming industry, along with Twitter hashtags teasing #Playstation2013, all point to the announcement of the newest iteration in Sonys console line up. As it stands, the Xbox 360 generally seemed to receive more favor from gamers than the PlayStation 3 during the previous console generation, but in reality their sales to this date have been almost identical, with the 360 selling 76 million units as of this month and PS3 selling about 77 million as of last month.
