Instead of calling up on the standard Klingons or Romulans however, the game is going even deeper with the Gorn. This reptile like species only previous appearance was on a dessert planet with Kirk, where they fought to (supposedly) the death. Despite this solitary appearance the episode has remained a favourite fans thanks to its fantastic writing (and a favourite of the internet thanks to its laughable special effects)."
