It gives you the opportunity to use your GamePad as a remote control as a matter of convenience. You can even operate the TV without turning on your Wii U. It sounds silly, but that little button could end up being a major focal point for Nintendo when it comes to wooing the casuals. That’s physically putting that controller into the hands of gamers and non-gamers alike. Just doing that could make for a connection that leads to playing games.
