The highly unexpected DS sequel looks to be on its way sooner than expected…
It was certainly surprising when Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 were announced for DS late last week. Now it looks as though the surprise may be physically in our hands sooner than expected.
Not long after announcing the games will be releasing in Japan this summer, Nintendo has confirmed that they are set to launch in Europe this autumn. They’ll hit us about a year-and-a-half after their DS prequels.
Two new versions of the legendary Kyurem were revealed alongside the sequels. You can get the tiniest taste of them at Nintendo’s official website.
It may seem quite a left-field move to place the sequels on the elderly DS system, but remembering that Black & White sold over a million copies in Europe on the dual-screened wonder after ten days of going on sale last year, it might be the most bankable option. Naturally, you’ll also be able to play the games on your 3DS in 2D.
Nintendo is promising “plenty of new surprises” in Black & White 2, so stay tuned.
